The creative team, which is based in York, was set up by Nick Townend some ten years ago. Armco IT Consulting have been working with Nick for several years now. They were instrumental in setting up the infrastructure for his company following a significant review of IT systems twelve months ago, which coincided with a major business restructuring and identity overhaul. Armco now maintain all systems under an inclusive Support Contract. The agreement covers all hardware and software support issues.
 

In consultation with Nick and his team, Armco IT Consulting Ltd assisted in the purchase and set up of a Mac-based admin system when the company was restructured. This was necessary to maintain consistency with their past system experiences and to ensure total compatibility with a new design system once it came online.

"We needed to design a system that could combine ease of use, compatibility and expandability. Nick was moving to new offices at York Science Park so we had the luxury of an almost blank canvas in terms of telephony and data infrastructure. We had to tap into the existing phone network but incorporate an independent structure data (with Broadband) network. From there we installed a range of high performance graphic and CAD systems, linked to a Mac Server and networked output devices.
 

As with most systems, it is undergoing constant review and development. We start and migrate, update and change. Demands increase, technology improves and productivity needs change. We constantly track these developments and strive to meet the challenge."
